Passion Project 2.4 - Research

We're now on Winter holidays but my friend and I have continued our research as per our timeline. We have found suitable batteries which are 7.2V 5000mAH. This is great news as two in a series will provide almost exactly the 14.5V Apple's 29W wall adapter does. The combined 10,000mAH should also be sufficient to fully charge a 2016 MacBook twice. We now have two remaining research tasks, the first of which is to figure out the amperage of the batteries which unfortunately are not described on any websites; however, the amperage should be around the desired 2-2.4A as one reviewer states,

"So far, so good.

I'm using it to power portable electronics (NES, Pi) instead of an RC car but works perfectly for my purposes."

Our second task is to find a suitable controller with a USB-C input/output to solder the batteries onto and regulate the discharge/charging of the batteries.

Happy Holidays!
